This is one of the most Exciting, Unimaginably Satisfying, Breathtaking, and Anxious moments you’ll experience in life. You’ve been wanting and waiting for this moment, and now it’s so much more than you ever thought. But let’s be honest. You are so happy but there is that tiny bit of anxiety and confusion because you aren’t quite sure what to do next. NO WORRIES. Lets talk about. We will talk about 10 things you will need to do now and how to start planning the wedding of your dreams.

I know you are beyond excited and maybe a little overwhelmed. If you are anything like most couples, you are in the middle of the “Oh Sh*t, This is Really Happening” Phase.

Don’t Freak Out !!! It’s going to be AMAZING.

First, We Enjoy...We CELEBRATE!! Share the news with those you love most and then do something special. If it’s a night out to your closest family and friends, or an intimate date night with the one who makes your heart smile. Relish in the moment. This is all about the 2 of you. Let time stand still for just a moment and spend some time taking advantage of the bliss. Close your eyes and fall in love all over again.

Ok now, let’s make some things happen

1. Protect the Priceless

Now that you have that priceless piece of jewelry on your hand. It’s important to make sure it fits and it safe. Getting your new ring insured and then getting it properly sized it the first step to peace of mind.


2. What Season is YOUR Season?

When do you see yourself saying “I do.” Now is the prime time to think about the time of year that would work best for you and set the ideal backdrop for your wedding if needed. Let’s pick a date. P.S. Be mindful of time needed for saving if needed.


3. Are you Staying Home or Going on an Adventure?

Now that we know when, we need to know where. Let’s think home town or destination, traditional church or non-traditional venue, indoor or outdoor. Take a moment to do a little research on venues to get an idea of cost and availability.


4. The people that mean the most

Who do you want to share the big day with? Start drafting your guest list and the lineup for your wedding party.


5. Dollars and Cents

Ok, so we’ve started thinking about what we want. Now it’s time to talk a little business. It’s important to sit with your partner and determine how you will budget for your big day. Have a clear idea of what you can and cant spend will help you avoid creating financial stress while starting the next chapter of your lives together.


6. Dream...a Beautiful Dream

Time for a little fun. You know what you want and you know how much you can spend. Let’s get inspired. Start creating your vision boards and gathering ideas to help paint the picture of your big day.


7. The Supporting Cast

You have created your vision and now you are ready and excited to make some things happen. This is a big day with big responsibility. You will want to make sure you are entrusting the right people. Research and Interview vendors to make sure you are choosing vendors that are reputable, capable of doing what you’ve dreamed, and can do it within your budget. If it is within your budget, consider a Wedding Planner. Interview a few to see if it’s worth it to you. Wedding planners are there to help with the details you did and didn’t think of and they also have access to resources and relationships that can help make your budget stretch. Think about planning your wedding but letting someone else do all the work.


8. Capture the Moment

Before you get too deep in the planning process, if you have it in your budget, plan an engagement photoshoot. You will want to capture this big moment as a part of your wedding journey.


9. The Party before the PARTY

Why not throw a beautiful engagement party. Now that you have investigated some vendors and even a planner, now is a great time to host an engagement party that created to perfect atmosphere for both families to come together. Everyone can meet and start to get to know each other before the big day. Side note: It is also an opportunity to enlist some help from both side.


10. A Dress Unlike Any Other

Ok beautiful bride to be…this one is for you. Time to start shopping for fit for that day. Whether you are dreaming of the perfect dress, or a little less traditional going for a chic pant suit or something more causal, now is when you start shopping. You want to ensure you have enough time to have you dress made and tailored. It’s also a good idea to find out when your favorite designer is having their next trunk show. Why spend more money on your dream dress if you don’t have to.
